For the past many years we have been hoping for an opportunity to change our program time, to allow more children to enjoy our programming without compromising their regular school start. We are lucky that Concordia has finally approved our wish and has relocated our village from its current home with the Norwegian village and to our new home at Sjölunden – the Swedish village. Physically the move is only about a mile but with the new cabins and time we will be in a much better position to serve even more children. Our next  year program start will be
Credit Session – June 21st to July 17th
Two-Week Session – July 5th to July 17th
One-Week Session – July 5th to July 10th
Our new home will housed in a series of new additions at the Swedish village that they normally use for their credit program. We went there with all the villagers in the 2nd week program to give them something to tell about.
The part of the Swedish village depicted above will be our new Skovsøen. But we will have access to the rest of the village for day-2-day activities like sports and games. I have added a few pictures from the village in general to give you a feel for the general miljø there.
For all of us this move will represent both a sad goodbye to the old Skovsøen where so many children have made friends and created memories during the last 26 years of village programming, and a welcome change that we all look forward to with anticipation. Our new home will offer a great many new and exciting opportunities for programming.
